A little more on that is that the red blood cells use hemoglobin to carry the oxygen. Doesn't change anything, but if you're on here trying to learn then you might want to look up hemoglobin.

Nearly PEDs have their genesis in medicine. They are subsequently applied to healthy people to get an edge. It's an age old story. Just about every recreational drug was originally medical. One of the few exceptions is marijuana.
