Belly dancing is sexy, fun, and burns up a lot of calories to boot! In this video, belly dancer Irina Akulenko teaches you how to do the belly dance move known as a reverse vertical figure 8. You'll be shaking it like Shakira in no time.
Now let's try the Reverse Figure 8 going down-to-up. So keeping the knees bent, tailbone down, chest up. We're going to drop the hip down, reach hip out, lift it up and you're going to lift the heel off the floor, contract the hip back in and release it back down to neutral. Bend in your left knee a little bit more to drop the hip down, sliding out, lifting the heel up to bring the hip up, and you're also gonna feel a contraction in your obliques and coming back to center, drop in to neutral. Down, up, up, heel up, In. Down, up, in, release. You're going to feel a shift of weight from foot to foot. As you reach all the way out the highest point here is when you're going to switch your attention to the other side to bring the heel down and up. So it's a continuous motion going from one side to the other. Let's try that with music [music starts]. Keep the chest hovering up and a little bit faster. And that's how you do a down-to-up figure 8.

You need to try build stomach muscles so they are stronger and so you can control them easier and be able to move them more rapidly and stronger so the moves look more fluent. Also it helps you to focus on the muscle you want to move since it is more visible and you can feel it more while contracting. Be one with your body, dedicate your focus and mind.

LOOK AT END IF YOU DONT WANT TO READ ALL😂😂 so i lift my heel up but how do i go out while I'm doing that, I'm only a starter 'belly dancer' like no one knows i belly dance not even my best friend because i want to learn all this belly dancing until i can just brake out some belly dancing and she would be like omg amazing!! so you know :) the reason i wanted to start this all is because my best friends friend (lets call her Jen) Jen has musicaly and she has only little of videos with her belly dancing and she is sooooooo goooood, now i don't go to my (lets call my best friend Kate) i don't go to Kates or Jens school so I've never actually met Jen and she is GOALS she has the softest and healthiest hair by what Kate told me and Jen does have a good body (ps I'm naturally skinny sooooooo i have a flat stochmach and i love my stochmach because I'm skinny it looks like a models stomach but i don't want to be all up my self now!!!!!!) anyway getting to the point here i can't feel the out of the hip then the in of the hip to go down to putting my heel down ANY HELP?????
