The problem with the surgical approach to prostate cancer is that it usually leaves the guy impotent and incontinent.
Rather than surgery, I would recommend using radiosurgery which actually involves no cutting and bleeding. Basically, the tumors within the prostrate are located and then a pencil lead thin beam of intense gamma radiation is sent through them that fries their DNA and kills them. That results in the patient immediately being in remission and the side effects tend to be mild and well tolerated and, most importantly, the patient retains his sexual and urinary health afterward. The entire treatment usually only takes three or four sessions in a machine that last about 10 minutes each. There is no need for anesthesia and the patient remains conscious at all times.
I also think that one of the best ways to prevent prostrate cancer is to avoid developing BPH or "benign prostatic hypertrophy" in the first place. That condition is caused in older males when their bodies naturally tend to produce more of an enzyme called "alpha reductase" which, unfortunately, converts regular testosterone into a more potent form called "dihydrotestosterone". Dihydrotestosterone then tends to extend the life of aging cells in the prostate so that they don't die off at the same rate that new ones are being formed. This results in the enlargement or "hypertrophy" of the prostate as the number of cells increases in it and puts pressure on surrounding anatomical structures like the uretha that empties urine from the bladder. There is some persuasive research that indicates consuming a daily dose of pumpkin seed oil can prevent BPH from starting or reverse it if it already exists. Apparently, there is something in the oil that blocks the action of the alpha reductase enzyme so that the conversion of testosterone to dihydrotestosterone is inhibited which then allows the aging prostate cells to die off at their normal rate and shrinks one's prostate back to its normal size again. Before going "under the knife" to get rid of his prostate cancer, the patient should, imo, do a *lot* of research into the alternative treatments available because, once the surgeon cuts out your prostate or any part of it, it won't be growing back again and you will then be stuck with whatever the consequences of that surgery is for the rest of your life! Those "consequences" can be very depressing.
Also, even though I probably don't really need to mention it, if one is smoking, then he needs to STOP as soon as possible and, if he does not smoke yet, then do NOT start! The last thing a guy needs is to have the seminal fluid passing through his prostate loaded with tobacco tar carcinogens!
I urinate like 30 more or less a day.. I wait for a moment when peeing because it wont come out. sometimes hurts becoz of too much peing. after i pee i feel peeing again. so I consulted a doctor then get a urine test and ultrasound all my organs are normal. so why is this happening to me? .. please reply
Eat cassava this can destroy cancer cells and bring your PSA Level to normal. Not the bitter one. Proven research authentic. Too easy to doubt BUT try it. It works. Don't even wait to be diagnosed eat it at least twice weekly
Get a PSA test every year. I had BPH but my PSAWas okay. Treated BPH. Later, my PSACame back 74.5. Anything higher than 4-5 is a concern. I was extremely lucky the cancer was contained within the prostate, although every part of my prostate had cancer cells. Treated by radiation HD and daily medication along with 3 month visit to the oncologist for injection. Between the two medications, it should keep the cancer at bey so long as I stay on this therapy.
Hello my age is 20 now. I've been masturbating since I was 12(2009). I can't stop this behaviour because I'm addicted to this since 2 years I've reduced this behaviour but not fully. I'm a thin male. I'll get night falls atleast 2 times per month and I'll ejaculate 1 or 2 times per day since 2009. Will I get prostate cancer?
Ok thanks 9th and am looking forward to seeing you need a ball in dying and how it will get what you want to voicemail the best of this 9th in hand I have a nice cooked dinner with my bank of the first time since I was a kid who has been working on the of my account is time a good for kim Kardashian is outta here and am not
I had none of these symptoms but was diagnosed via routine psa tests followed by biopsies . Do your homework from that point onward. Things can get real nasty if you must go thru radiation and , even worse, hormone therapy. Also....choose your doctor very carefully..mine misread the oncologist report which delayed treatment. Be forewarned that you will have incontinence issues, no more erections and no more orgasms which can lead to severe depression. In other words, I should have lived with it.
I have been tested and I'm ok I'm glad this video is here I'm also on more then ten years no cigarettes. !!! I'm seeing doctor s all the time. Due to a car accident along time ago I'm trying to get back to normal but its no that easy. When you go through a car window thank you for the information. Great video !
Don't forget about an enlarged prostate (benign) and the symptoms before and after a TURP.
Been there, got the Tshirt.
Currently there is NO CURE for this. My brother-in-law recently died from prostate cancer.

Ben Joseph by accident, routine PSA check with physical. My first PC didn’t even tell me about it, said I was in better shape then most 20 somethings. I did have frequency problems and difficulty voiding, So I found a new PC she checked my blood work and sent me to a urologist immediately,
By the way, if you have to see a urologist, get a female doctor. Male doctors always give you that “this procedure is well tolerated by most men”. Don’t you believe it, i would rather break my leg again then have another biopsy without sedation, the “local” is a joke.
