The 4th Agreement, in my view is potentially the most impactful on a day to day basis. The 4th Agreement simply states: "Always Do Your Best". When it comes to taking massive action for better health, Your results may vary from day to day. You may be tired, stiff and achey, unmotivated or generally not at your best on any given day, But, and it is an important BUT: So long as you can honestly say that you gave your best effort in the circumstances, in your exercise, in your eating regime or whatever area of your life, it doesn't matter if it is not as good as your best effort on your best day. It's time to begin internally validating your efforts and not rely so much on the opinions of others: If you are consistently doing your best, it doesn't matter what the haters think, you will continue to become fitter, stronger, healthier, more vibrant and energetic, and at the end of the day, you will be able to look at yourself in the mirror and say to yourself: "Yes, I am happy and content that my life is the end result of my decisions, my actions and my honest efforts." So some days, You are going to just have to get through Your workout in any way possible, it may not be pretty, Always Do Your Best and then CELEBRATE that You fronted up and Did Your Best, even when and ESPECIALLY when You didn't feel like doing it or didn't even think that You COULD do it. Internally validate: Yes, Be critical when You KNOW You are not bringing Your A-game, But Equally as important, OR even more importantly, BE YOUR OWN BIGGEST CHEERLEADER, BIG YOURSELF UP AND CELEBRATE when You Do Your Best, irrespective of the result.
